Enclosed below is an essay article that I prepared as the first article for this blog, entitled “Alien Righteousness and the New Kingdom of the Gospel.”

I had wanted to work on this article in reflection on the Gospel and its ramifications for politics out of the book of Romans with the Lord.  This would be especially fitting for an election year; but I think that writing about politics and alien righteousness of the Gospel out of Romans would be a very fitting exercise for any season of secular culture.

The article is rather long, and was a very real labor of love (emphasis on “labor” – but also ultimately on “love”).  And so I would say here with the Lord from Augustine’s word on his own tome City of God: With the help of the Lord, I have finished this giant of a book.  May this essay article bring praise to the glory of God and edify the church, and bring Gospel witness to unbelievers heading into November.
